Indigenous art for sale in Edmonton and online
Northwind Art, established in 1995, and operating out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada is an online gallery specializing in fine Canadian Inuit art (Eskimo) and Native art. The owner of Northwind Art has extensive knowledge of the Arctic and Native communities throughout Canada and has been collecting Inuit Art since 1977.
While living in the Canadian Arctic he befriended many famous Keewatin Inuit artists, such as, John Tiktak, George Arlook, John Kavik, Lucy Tasseor, Pierre Karlik, Andy Miki, Barnabus Arnasungaaq, John Pangnark, Laurant Aksadjuak and Bernadette Saumik. After his move to Edmonton in 1981, he started to collect Native Art and made acquaintances with Norval Morrisseau, Clemence Wescoupe, Dennis Bruce, Jerry Whitehead, Morris Cardinal, Glen Nipshank, Jane Ash Poitras, Leo Arcand and many other Prairie/Woodland artists.
Viewing art in-person in Edmonton is available by appointment only. All online orders welcome – Canadian or international.
